Pre-Season Practice
The club is hoping to organise some form of pre-season practice. I am trying to gauge if their is any interest amongst club members. The nets at Dereham last season were relatively well attended, however it was generally the usual suspects who turned up. This year I have suggested a series of indoor games at a venue to be decided, everyone would be encouraged to participate, even the legend Barry Green.
This is where you all fit into the equation. What would your preferences be, indoor games or indoor nets or indeed a combination of the two. I also need some suggestions, as to
venue ? If I don't get a genuine response from enough club members then it naturally won't be worth organising. So email me with your genuine interest and reasonable suggestions as to venue ?, form of practice ?, week end or evening ?, what time ? and I will get busy with booking the most convenient suggestions.

Interested in Playing Cricket at Swanton Morley Cricket Club
Swanton Morley CC would be delighted to hear from any new players in the local area who might like to consider joining them for the new season.
The Club caters for all ages and levels of ability, being a member of the WNCL Divisions One and Three, which play on Saturdays and, also the MNSCL Derek Cousins Division Two.
The attractive Angel Cricket Ground is maintained in a superb condition and there are excellent facilities for practicing, with three qualified coaches on hand.
There is a flourishing youth section, with regular training sessions throughout the summer and the Club also hosts inter-county games for the under-14s.
The Club was awarded the prestigious Clubmark accreditation status for the second time, indicating that it operates to the highest standards set by the ECB.

Youth Cricket Coached Sessions at SMCC / 2010
SMCC provides a series of coached outside sessions that generally follow the cricket season, they are intended for anyone interested in learning and participating in the game. The club actively welcomes anyone, no matter what ability or previous experience, the sessions are attended by both boys and girls aged from 8 - 14 years old. We currently have three ECB qualified coaches and a number of assistant coaches, who
as a team deliver sessions that are tailored for all abilities.
If you are interested in playing cricket why not come along, just turn up and have a go!
Fee £1.50 per session, all appropriate equipment provided.

The honours board has been established to acknowledge the outstanding playing achievements of individuals representing SMCC at any levels of the sport.
Entry to the Honours board requires you to either, score over 50 runs in a single innings, take 4 or more wickets, take 3 or more catches in a game.
